CORONA VIRUS MEASURES 2020
We want to protect our customers and our staff alike so we ask that our guests understand the implications of social distancing to a small restaurant like ours.
If a guest knows that they are vulnerable to COVD 19 they must make a personal decision regarding the risks of sitting and eating in a public environment. Likewise, if guests have a new persistent cough or temperature they should stay at home.
As our profits are being eliminated by having fewer tables and therefore less potential to operate a commercially viable business, we respectfully suggest our customers order at least two courses from our menus
Our staff have the right to call the police if any customer starts to flout the new social distancing guidelines

- We have removed/put out of action 40% of the tables in our restaurant in order to increase the spacing between tables
- We will log contact details of all our guests in case we need to track and trace
- Bookings of over two people will be presumed to be part of that guest's support bubble and therefore able to share a table with the other guests. This would account for 2 households and a maximum of 6 people. Therefore we will not be spacing these people out from each other but only from the other diners
- Guests will be asked to use hand sanitiser when entering the building
- Some elements of our service structure will have changed to conform with government guidelines to reduce the amount of time at the table and the amount of physical contact with guests or with anything going on that table
- Guests are asked to keep hold of coats and drape them over their chairs as the communal coat hanging area could lead to cross contamination
- The same member of staff will serve their allocated table for the duration of the guests' meal
- Serving staff will wear a face mask or visor
- Tables will not be laid ready. No cutlery, glasses, plates or napkins will go on tables before presentation of the food or drink
- Paper napkins will be used so that these can be binned
- We will use disposable paper menus
- Individually wrapped condiments where appropriate
- Wine left open on table for guests to pour for themselves
- Windows and doors will be left open where possible to ensure adequate ventilation and fresh air
- Customers will be encouraged to stay at their table unless otherwise instructed
- Contactless payment encouraged

Booking Ts & Cs
Please note, the time of your booking is an arrival time. We don't have a bar area so can't guarantee you somewhere to sit if you arrive early.
Dinner tables of 1-2 people have use of the table for 2 hours, 2 hours and 30 minutes for tables of 3-6, 3 hours and 15 minutes for tables of 7-12 and 3 hours and 45 minutes for tables of over 12 people, (unless otherwise stated at the time of booking). Lunch tables are the same but minus 30 minutes respectively.
We may, (dependant on table size and day of the booking), require a deposit of £10.00 per person. Please ask your waiter/waitress to take this off your bill at the end of your meal or refund it to your card.
If, for whatever reason, you wish to cancel your meal, your deposit is only refundable providing we have been given over 48 hours notice prior to the arrival time of your booking or 72 hours notice for very large tables of 9 and over (£90.00 deposit and over).
Finally, in cases where we have booked out the entire downstairs of the restaurant/the entire restaurant, deposits are completely non-refundable.
For any queries about your booking or to make a cancellation, call us directly on 01225 466020. By booking with us you also agree to our data privacy policy. More info on this is available on the 'Privacy Policy' link on the ‘Bookings’ page of our website.
We will attempt to cater to special requests you add to your booking but these cannot be guaranteed. Please call the restaurant if you have any serious requests (such as serious allergies or mobility restrictions).
